WEBFeb 29, 2016 · My first PC monitor, for gaming, was an LG 22EA53VQ-P and the only reason I bought that was because it was the only affordable IPS monitor in my budget range back in the time (2013). The monitor turned out to have outstanding pixel response time, even in the fastest camera movements didn't BLUR at all and have no visible ghosting.

WEBJan 3, 2014 · Generally speaking, TNs are the fastest and can hit as high as 144Hz, VAs are the slowest, and IPS are somewhere in between but aren't quite able to hit 120Hz. Some IPS monitors will do 72Hz or 75Hz with some tweaking, and the industry could probably make them do 100Hz but they haven't shown any interest in doing so because it's such a fringe ...

WEBApr 20, 2022 · I concur with the OP. I have a 27" 1440 monitor. I want to make the upgrade to 4K, but I don't want a physically larger monitor (32"). Its currently a TN panel, and I don't see the value in upgrading to an IPS when I have OLED right around the corner. 4K, OLED, 27", Amd/Nvidia VRR, 144mhz, shut up and take my money. Still waiting though

One has to sit at least 4ft away to reduce the glow to the same amount as a 27" when viewed from 2-2.5ft. Does NCX think the more pronounced IPS glow (vs. a 27") kills the immersion a 30" offers for normal viewing distances of 2-3ft? Yes
