WEBMay 31, 2024 · Resolved that by laying the grate horizontally across the top of the sink and draping a hot soapy cloth over top and letting it set for an hour or so. Turn the grate over and repeat. Then finish up with a Scotch-brite scouring pad; seems to work fine for me and doesn't scratch the enamel. Jun 3, 2024. #4.

Now if you take the porc grates out you can place the 12.5 cast grate front to back the long ways and it firs perfectly, Now the 12" silvertone Cast grate,12.5 Cast grate and the 10" caste grate are all 19" long. The ironwood uses a grate that is just under 22" wide.

When I do chicken breasts I keep the pit temp close to recipe, but I would set it to 165 if the temp called for was 250.

WEBJan 3, 2022 · The logic of saving pellets by buying another grill is counterintuitive to me. I have no issue spending (literally) a few dollars a cook in pellets to hit 500F briefly to sear or grill burgers - it’s why I bought a Traeger to begin with (knowing it officially could hit 500F).

The combinaiton of the Grill Grates, Traeger, & MEATER probe has allowed me to master the Reverse Sear on really thick cuts of meat like this Prime Tri-Tip from Costco. It sat in a smoke bath at 210 degrees till internal hit 120. Then I removed and turned my Ironwood up to 500 for searing.

For example, if I'm doing a steak, I start it at 215 degrees until the steak reaches an internal temp of 120. Then I pull the steak, and raise the heat to 425.
