WEBFeb 8, 2015 · OTOH the laundry doesn't seem to go sour as quickly if we forget to unload the washer as soon as it's done. Hopefully this washer will at least last twice as long as the old one. It's much like our old Kenmore top-loader that last over 16 years, probably longer but we gave it away when we were renting a house that came with a washer and dryer.

WEBMar 7, 2017 · It can handle washing our king size comforters with ease. I haven't looked at Speed Queens because no one in our area sells or services them, but we're very happy with our GE. It's a very basic model with mechanical controls and a quick wash cycle. It's the best washer we've ever had. The Speed Queen is 3.3 cubic feet.

A couple of years ago, Speed Queen changed their machine and removed the agitator and the new swishing technology got some really bad reviews. But now it is my understanding that after 2 years, they went back to the agitator style machine.

WEBNov 30, 2019 · The 'revived' TC5 Speed Queen has *none* of those features. It has not one, but two electronic boards. Everything is a beep. Nothing is manual. The salesman said it didn't have variable water levels because there is a sensor. Bull - it does not. It fills to the same level even if I only put in a few things.
