This hike is moderate if there has been no rain. If it is raining or rained recently it will be a slippery mud slide. There are hiking sticks at the beginning of the trail people leave behind and I…Full review by MichelleC9052014

First of all - you need to know that this is listed as a "moderate" trail but you will be doing some decent uphill climbs. The trail head sign says 1.8 miles and 2-3 hours. We are experienced hik…Full review by richa293

Hello! I am not familiar with the new spur trail so I would recommend you read up on it. From all of our three weeks in Kauai, we found that the earlier we arrived, the better our chances were of finding parking. Even when some travel books recommended arriving by 8:00 am, we were disappointed and learned that earlier was better and to avoid the popular places over the week end whenever possible. Enjoy!
