Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?Gastrointestinal symptoms can be some of the most personal complaints patients can have. While two patients may have the same diagnosis, the symptoms may affect each person’s life very differently. This specialty allows me to develop a relationship with each patient and to create a treatment plan that is specific for that person.Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?I enjoy treating a wide variety of conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, disorders of the stomach, and functional bowel disease. I am particularly interested in quality in endoscopy and colorectal cancer screening, because as our quality improves, so do our patient outcomes.
