Louisiana attorney general Liz Murrill said this week that Danette Colbert should not have been eligible to have been out on probation when she encountered KC sportscaster Adan Manzano shortly before his death.

A woman charged in connection with the death of Kansas City sports reporter Adan Manzano should not have been on probation at the time, according to the Louisiana Attorney General.Manzano was found dead in his hotel room in February.

The move by Liz Murrill's comes after Colbert spent weeks in the media spotlight following the Feb. 5 death of 27-year-old Adam Manzano, a reporter from Kansas City, in a Kenner hotel room.

Other men have accused the Louisiana woman linked to the death of a Super Bowl reporter of drugging and robbing them — and she shouldn’t have been on probation when the reporter was found dead last month,
