Dexter, which formed into a tropical storm over the weekend, is weakening but could re-intensify later in the week, forecasters said.

Tropical Storm Dexter, the fourth named storm of the 2025 hurricane season, was a bit weaker Tuesday morning as forecasters continue to track it and two other disturbances in the Atlantic Ocean, according to the National Hurricane Center. None of the systems pose an immediate threat to Louisiana.

Tropical Storm Dexter formed in the Atlantic late Sunday – and while it's moving away from the U.S., the National Hurricane Center is also watching two other areas for possible development. An Allegiant Air flight turned around and made an unplanned landing as a swath of bad weather blocked its path north through Georgia.
