COIMBATORE: BJP state president K. Annamalai staged a dramatic protest against the ruling DMK government on Friday by whipping himself in front of his residence

Annamalai criticised the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led government, alleging an increase in crimes against women, ANI reported. He told reporters that two unidentified persons entered the campus and assaulted the student.

Calling the DMK an “evil force,” Annamalai urged the middle class to rise and question the government. He demanded the sacking of the Chennai city police commissioner or at least the deputy commissioner over the Anna University case.
