ESPN's latest report mentioned that the "College GameDay" show in Austin, Texas, accounted for the most-watched Week 8 episode in program history, with 2.3 million average viewers and a peak at 3.8 million viewers. Following the announcement by ESPN PR, Davis chimed in to thank fans for the show's success.

ESPN College GameDay is making its second appearance at Indiana – though it’s the first that has occurred in its traditional Saturday timeslot. College GameDay visited in 2017, but it was for a Thursday night football game and did not have the same amount of glitz and raucousness that has become the show’s calling card.

Under first year Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti, Saturday will mark the first time ESPN’s College GameDay will host its 9 a.m. to noon flagship pregame show in Bloomington. The weekly guest picker has yet to be announced, but some possible names include Mark Cuban, Kyle Schwarber and Joe Buck.
