Pixxel, an Indian space tech startup backed by Google, has successfully launched the first three hyperspectral satellites of its commercial constellation Firefly.

Bengaluru-based spacetech startups Pixxel and Digantara have launched their satellites aboard Transporter-12 rideshare mission with SpaceX from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

Pixxel, a California-based space technology company building the world's highest-resolution hyperspectral satellite constellation, has successfully launched the first three satellites of its Firefly constellation today.

Digantara and Pixxel are focused on launching their proprietary satellites, while XDLINX is facilitating the launch of India-developed satellites for the US-based Almagest Space Corporation.

The launch marks the start of Pixxel's commercial constellation, with three more Firefly satellites slated for launch in Q2 2025.
