The death toll from catastrophic flooding in Texas over the July Fourth weekend has surpassed 100 as the massive search continues for missing people.

Dozens of people have died after heavy rain pounded Kerr County, Texas, early Friday, leading to "catastrophic" flooding, the sheriff said.

The confirmed death toll from the catastrophic flash floods that swept through Central Texas has climbed to 89, with search and rescue teams still working to locate missing victims, including children from the Camp Mystic summer camp.
