It's looking like the Indianapolis Colts will have to make some substitutions on the O-Line vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
“The Colts are already giving Daniel Jones’ No. 17 to Philip Rivers,” Carton said in a clip shared on X/Twitter. “The body’s not even cold yet! The first chance they get to humiliate him, embarrass him, and emasculate him is by giving his number away to a 44-year-old grandfather who hasn’t thrown a pass in five years.”
Offensive lineman Braden Smith was announced on Thursday as the Indianapolis Colts' 2025 Ed Block Courage Award recipient.
That call came as a shock to the entire NFL world, including former MVP quarterback and Carolina Panthers legend Cam Newton. Not only was Newton shocked, but he felt like it was a "slap in the face" that a 44-year-old Rivers got a call before he did.
Indianapolis looked lifeless after their loss Sunday but Rivers' return seems to have reenergized the locker room. At least for now.
