Tributes are pouring in for the late Dublin teenager who competed on this year's edition of Ireland’s Fittest Family following his shock passing.

Cillian Flaherty, a third-year student at Blakestown Community School in Blanchardstown, died on Monday at the age of 15

The devastated family of a Dublin teenager who competed on this year's Ireland's Fittest Family have made a request following his shock death.

The teenager, who had taken part in the series, had no known underlying health conditions before his death, it is understood.

THE NEWEST SERIES of Ireland’s Fittest Family, scheduled to begin on Sunday, has been postponed following the death of one of this year’s contestants. In a statement, staff at RTÉ and Kite/Amino productions – who produce the programme – extended their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and friends of the person who died.

The hit RTÉ reality TV was set to return to screens for its 12th season on Sunday evening with Laura Fox at the helm alongside coaches Davy Fitzgerald, Anna Geary, Donncha O’Callaghan and Sonia O’Sull
