Former Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker, who was forced from office in the wake of the Whitewater investigation, has died.

"Jim Guy Tucker was part of a generation of Arkansas leaders who left a deep impression on the state and whose legacy lives on," said Gov. Sanders.

He was among those targeted by the investigation that consumed much of Bill Clinton’s presidency. But his conviction was later questioned.

The public will soon be able to pay respects to Governor Jim Guy Tucker, on the second floor rotunda of the Arkansas State Capitol.
