The New York Mets' offense has not produced recently, and Juan Soto's slump has plenty to do with that. Carlos Mendoza revealed what he thinks about it.

Cleveland Guardians pitcher Gavin Williams no-hit the Mets through 8.1 innings until Juan Soto launched a solo home run in the ninth to get on the board. It didn't make a difference in the outcome, though, as Cleveland won 4-1. New York is now 1-8 in the last nine games.

The $765 million slugger at least spared the Mets the embarrassment and ignominy of having a no-hitter thrown against them, however, with a solo home run with one out in the ninth inning of a series-sweeping 4-1 loss to Gavin Williams and the Guardians.
