Last year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe ventured into R-rated territory with Deadpool & Wolverine. After making $1.3 billion at the box office, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that more R-rated projects are on the way.
First Steps not only has to introduce audiences to a new roster of heroes, villains, and scene-stealing side characters, but it also needs to reset the narrative surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, The Fantastic Four: First Steps has taken it a step further with its marketing, more than any other Marvel film that I can think of. For the press, the releases are often typed up in a vintage 1960s typewriter format, which is impressive. But for the public? Gosh, it’s been so fun.
