WNBA fans are wondering whether Sabrina Ionescu might be incentivized to leave the New York Liberty for a new team.

WNBA basketball is officially heading back to Portland, Oregon. The league announced on Wednesday that the city has been awarded an expansion franchise, which will begin play in 2026. In addition to the Golden State Valkyries and a yet unnamed Toronto franchise, which were announced earlier this year, that will bring the league to 15 teams.

Ionescu recorded 20 points, six assists and five rebounds in the win. She also knocked down four shots from behind the three-point arc, bringing her season total to 103. Ionescu is now the fourth player in WNBA history to record multiple seasons with more than 100 made three-point attempts.
