A judge denied Robert F. Kennedy's request Monday to erase his name from the presidential ballot in swing state Wisconsin, ruling that state law requires candidates to remain on the ballot unless they die.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will remain on the Wisconsin presidential ballot following a judge's ruling. Kennedy had sought removal from key state ballots after suspending his campaign and endorsing Donald Trump.

Kennedy has filed similar lawsuits in other battleground states. The North Carolina Supreme Court earlier this month upheld a lower court's ruling to remove Kennedy's name from the ballot. A Michigan judge ruled that Kennedy's name must remain on the state's presidential ballot.

As county clerks print their ballots and deliver them to the more than 1,800 municipal clerks that administer Wisconsin elections, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is still trying to get his name off them. Kennedy filed on the Wisconsin deadline for independent candidates Aug.
