Authorities in the Dominican Republic are interviewing a young man believed to have been with a missing student from the University of Pittsburgh right before her disappearance in Punta Cana, a local police source told CNN.

Sudiksha Konanki, a 20-year-old University of Pittsburgh student, has gone missing during a spring break trip to Punta Cana, a popular tourist spot in the Dominican Republic. Authorities have launched a land and sea search operation to find her.
