Macy’s is closing 66 stores, including the one at The Mall at Greece Ridge, the struggling retailer announced in a statement on Thursday. Most of the closures will happen between now and the end of March, it said. The Macy’s at Eastview Mall in Victor — the only other Macy’s in the Rochester market — will remain open.

Greece Ridge Mall closed early Thursday due to overcrowding with fights later starting outside, Police confirm. According to Greece Police, officers responded around 6:00 p.m. at the request of mall security and assisted in clearing the property due to ‘large and disorderly groups of teens and young adults’.
