Vanderbilt basketball lost to Florida on Saturday, but Tyler Nickel and Mark Byington don't appear to be all that discouraged.

The No. 8 Vanderbilt Commodores lost 98-94 to the No. 20 Florida Gators, marking their second consecutive loss. Florida secured the win with a 6-0 run in the final 45 seconds of the game. Vanderbilt's Tyler Tanner scored a team-high 20 points but missed a potential game-tying shot with seven seconds left.

Rueben Chinyelu scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half and No. 19 Florida beat No. 10 Vanderbilt 98-94 on Saturday.

The Commodores' second loss came at the hands of reigning national champion Florida, after big man Rueben Chinyelu posted a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds) in the upset win. Vanderbilt began the season 16-0, which tied the program record for the best start to the season. Florida is 4-1 in SEC play and at the top of the standings.

Florida Gators guard Xaivian Lee had 20 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer, in the team's upset over Vanderbilt.
