Waymo, owned by Google's parent company Alphabet, is expanding its service area with a new swath of coverage not connected to San Francisco in the Bay Area.

Waymo is expanding deeper into the Bay Area, but it’s still skipping San Francisco International Airport — for now. The autonomous-vehicle giant on Tuesday began offering its ride-hailing service to a limited number of riders across a small swath of Silicon Valley.

Waymo is expanding to new (but actually old) territory. The Waymo One service will soon be available in more of the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto and parts of Sunnyvale.
