Apple plans to add a live translation to its AirPods via an iOS 19 update coming later this year. As Bloomberg reports, your iPhone would listen to someone speaking in another language and relay the translation to you via your AirPods.

There’s no mention in the report of whether the new feature will be limited to AirPods Pro models, for instance, or will also arrive for the recently updated entry-level earbuds

The move from Apple comes after it introduced hearing health features to its AirPods Pro 2 last year, which includes a hearing test, hearing aid feature and active hearing protect

Yet again, Apple is at the forefront innovation. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is reportedly working on a groundbreaking new feature for AirPods that would enable real-time, in-person translation of conversations.
