The first astronauts preparing to fly to the moon in more than 50 years want your help identifying their "moon mascot." NASA's Artemis II crew is seeking an original idea for their zero-g indicator.

NASA is seeking submissions for a new zero gravity indicator (ZGI) that will accompany the Artemis II astronauts on their upcoming trip around the moon. But if you think you need an advanced engineering degree to design the next ZGI, think again—any level of education and an enthusiasm for space exploration is probably enough to do the trick.

NASA's crewed Artemis II mission will have more than astronauts on board. It will also have a small zero gravity indicator plushie toy designed by the public.
