A fire on an oil tanker involved in a crash in the North Sea has gone out, several days after the collision. It comes after the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust confirmed there have been “no reports of pollution” following container ship Solong hitting the Stena Immaculate off the east coast of Yorkshire on Monday morning (March 10).

Thirty-seven crew members from the ships have been brought safely ashore but one crew member remains missing. The American ship was carrying aviation fuel, some of which is pouring into the sea.
