The Professional Football Writers of America have named Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold the NFL's Most Improved Player of the Year.

The Minnesota Vikings have a big fan in quarterback Sam Darnold's girlfriend Katie Hoofnagle. As Darnold has taken full advantage of his opportunity in Minnesota, Hoofnagle has been a staple at Vikings games.

Sam Darnold piled up stats this season, charmed the fanbase and probably earned himself a nice payday in the process. But will he get it from the Vikings?

Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah spoke candidly about quarterback Sam Darnold and his future with the franchise.

Darnold is among five finalists for the AP Comeback Player Of the Year award. It was the first time in his seven-year career that Darnold was put in a position to start and succeed. The former No. 3-overall pick was traded to the Carolina Panthers after three up-and-down seasons with the New York Jets.
