Some of my coral bells (Heuchera) looked terrible this spring, with dead, woody centers. No problem. The plants were just signaling that they want to be dug up and divided.
Q: I have had some coral bells for a few years now, in a shady spot, but this spring they look as if they are growing up out of the ground. What is wrong? Is there anything I can do about it?
