Louisiana has become the first state in the nation approved to receive $1.36 billion in federal broadband funding, positioning the state as a national leader in efforts to close the digital divide.

Louisiana has become the first state to receive federal approval to deploy $1.355 billion to (BEAD) funding, moving the state closer to connecting every parish with reliable, high-speed internet.

"This is a generational investment that places Louisiana at the forefront of America’s tech transformation,” said Gov. Jeff Landry.
