WASHINGTON — When the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles meet Dec. 20 at Northwest Stadium, it won’t be in prime time. The NFC East clash will be played at 5 p.m., while the NFC North contest between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears will be at 8:20 p.m., the National Football League confirmed on Tuesday.
Against the spread: Washington 7-3; Philadelphia 5-4. Series record: Washington leads 89-84-5. Last week: Commanders lost 28-27 to the Steelers at home; Eagles beat the Cowboys 34-6 at Dallas. Eagles offense: overall (6), rush (2), pass (20), scoring (17).
The Eagles’ Week 16 matchup against the Washington Commanders was originally locked into a primetime Saturday night slot on December 20. But on Tuesday, the NFL announced it was sliding the NFC East rivalry game out of the spotlight, moving it up to 5 p.m. ET that same day.
