Two drunk 17-year-old teenagers have sparked outrage after filming themselves urinating into a hot pot broth at a Haidilao restaurant in Shanghai, China.

Shanghai police say two 17-year-olds were placed in "administrative detention" following the incident at a restaurant where diners simmer food at their own tables.

A popular Chinese restaurant chain is offering refunds to more than 4,100 diners after two teens were caught on video urinating into a vat of hotpot broth.

On February 24, two intoxicated 17-year-old boys, surnamed Tang and Wu, dined in a private room at Haidilao’s Shanghai Bund branch, and peed in the hotpot on their table.
