In recent years, one of the best teams in the NHL has been the Tampa Bay Lightning. They have been dominant throughout the regular season and, more importantly, in the playoffs. The Lightning won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2020 and 2021 and then made it back to the Cup final in 2022, losing to the Colorado Avalanche in six games.

The Flyers showed some spunk on Thursday. Taking on the Stanley Cup playoff-bound Tampa Bay Lightning during Pearl Jam night at the Wells Fargo Center, the game had an even flow and the Flyers battled back more than once to tie things up.

At every home game, the Tampa Bay Lightning honor a local person or nonprofit working to make an impact in our community. Vicky Gonzalez was honored as the Lightning Community Hero during the game on March 8.

And when the dust settled, the Flyers skated away with two points, snapping their losing skid in the process. It wasn't always pretty, but it was exactly the kind of win they needed—one that reminded everyone,
