Homicide detectives have opened an investigation after a person was found dead Sunday in northwest Albuquerque. A spokesperson for Albuquerque police says the victim was found on the 6000 block of Avalon Road NW around 7:30 a.m. It is not known at this time how the person died.

PCSD is asking the community for help identifying the person and asking anyone who may know someone who has been missing in the last 24 hours that fits the description to call the police.
