Aston Martin's chances of signing Max Verstappen will be a 'pipe dream' until they have a car good enough for Red Bull's four-time world champion, according to the team's design great Adrian Newey.

Jos Verstappen has, particularly last year, been vocal about his criticism towards Red Bull Racing several times. However, he has seen progress since the Grand Prix in Imola and suspects that his son Max Verstappen will stay with the Austrian Formula 1 team if the current trajectory continues.
