The Auburn Tigers are heading to the Elite Eight, having recently defeated the Michigan Wolverines in the NCAA Tournament. Auburn, the No. 1 seed in the South region, has now defeated Michigan, Creighton and Alabama State en route to the Elite Eight.
Houston, Michigan State and Auburn came up clutch, while Tennessee was a bully from the start in Sweet 16 action Friday night.
Western Michigan is the last team from the state left in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan State lost to Cornell, 4-3, in Toledo, where Cornell scored a power-play goal with 10 seconds left in the third period. Minnesota State finishes the season 27-9-3.
