Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers are searching for a new quarterback after Justin Fields joined the New York Jets and Russell Wilson began visiting other teams. Pittsburgh hasn’t had a stable presence at the position since future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger retired.

While the Pittsburgh Steelers are in talks with Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson, head coach Mike Tomlin is adding another quarterback for the 2025 NFL season.

The Steelers made it clear heading into the offseason that they wanted to re-sign either Wilson or Justin Fields at the quarterback spot. Fields ended up signing with the New York Jets on a two-year, $40 million contract, though, and Wilson is taking free agent visits with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants as he weighs his options.
