The story centers on Sung Jinwoo, who is described as a “weak" E-rank hunter at the beginning of the story, but who climbs his way up the ranks after gaining extraordinary powers following a near-death experience.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, it was confirmed that Solo Leveling would be the next anime to undergo the live-action treatment for Netflix, and the news was met with mixed reception. Anime fans have played these games before. Sorry, Solo Leveling doesn't need a live-action show.
