A group of Venezuelan men urgently filed requests to the US Supreme Court, an appeals court and two federal courts to block their imminent deportation, saying President Donald Trump’s administration appears poised to send them to a notorious prison in El Salvador without the required chance for judicial review.

The Supreme Court on Monday temporarily paused a court-imposed midnight deadline to return to the US a Maryland man who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador, agreeing to a request from President Donald Trump that will give the justices more time to consider the case.

PROVIDENCE – U.S. Sen. Jack Reed told a Jamestown town hall he would "absolutely" consider going to El Salvador if it might help his Senate colleague Chris Van Hollen's effort to secure the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man wrongfully deported by the Trump administration.
