Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced the Texas Department of Emergency Management to activate state emergency response resources ahead of severe weather expected to impact the state this week.

The State of Texas is working around-the-clock to ensure Texans have the resources and support needed as severe winter weather impacts communities across Texas.”

Because temperatures will be at or below freezing for much of the state all week, Governor Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to activate state emergency response resources.
