The Philadelphia Flyers are in the thick of the playoff race in 2024-25. They have work to do in a tight Wild Card race, however. Many expected the Flyers to make a trade leading into the March 7th deadline.

PHILADELPHIA — It was an early-season storyline that stuck in John Tortorella’s craw. Desperately searching for chemistry among his forwards, the Flyers coach wasn’t just placing them in the proverbial blender, but it seemed as if he was actively attempting to use every combination mathematically possible.

UPDATE: NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reports that the Philadelphia Flyers are trading forwards Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Andrei Kuzmenko and Jakob Pelletier. What else is part of the deal yet though, we still don't know.

Flames GM Craig Conroy pulled off a shockingly attractive trade that should help his team now and down the road. The deal, quite simply, is a home run for Conroy whose patience has proven once again to be one of his biggest virtues.
