A swath of the southern U.S. from Texas to Florida could see thunderstorms over the weekend, meteorologists say.
Rain-wind/thunderstorm and snow over the hills is likely at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan, Potohar region, northeast Punjab, Kashmir and, Gilgit-Baltistan during the next twelve hours. Partly cloudy weather is likely elsewhere in the country.
Residents across Texas and Oklahoma were alerted to a weather warning by the National Weather Service early on Tuesday.
"The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and have exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 8 p.m. for central North Carolina," states the NWS Raleigh NC. The warning is in effect until 3:45 p.m.
