Analysts don't seem to know what to make of the 49ers' draft this year. Some analysts love it. Others hate it. And NFL.com's Gennaro Filice ranks it pretty much right in the middle at No. 17.

The San Francisco 49ers' 2025 NFL Draft class would've fared better from an athletic standpoint if it were not for Oregon running back Jordan James. His 4.65 score is well below average for the position. At 5'9 1/3" and 205 pounds, his size is a strong contributor to that low score. He also lacked explosion in the jumping tests.

In the second round, there isn’t a player selected after Collins, which makes me think the 49ers missed out on a promising prospect. Pair that with Collins’ being a massive need, and it might be the Niners' best pick of the draft.
