There’s no mention in the report of whether the new feature will be limited to AirPods Pro models, for instance, or will also arrive for the recently updated entry-level earbuds

Granted, this new AirPod ability will still heavily rely on the Translate app; thus, you’ll still have to have your iPhone in hand. In this way, it’s more of an extension of your iPhone’s live-translation feature rather than a new AirPod feature … but it’s still cool nonetheless.

Google's Pixel Buds have a few interesting features, and it looks like Apple might swipe one of these features for its own AirPods.
