KENT COUNTY, MI – A Michigan woman was forced to play a different lottery game than usual, and it ended up winning her $1 million. The Kent County resident, who chose to remain anonymous, won the big prize playing the Wild Cherry instant game.

“I just closed my eyes and started thanking God,” the winner said, per the release. She told lottery officials the win is “a tremendous blessing.” “I can now be completely debt-free and have a comfortable retirement,” she told lottery officials.

The lucky lottery player said she stared at the winning ticket in disbelief, according to Virginia lottery officials.
