The Philadelphia Eagles are releasing the six-time Pro Bowl cornerback, a source told CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones.

Slay ultimately won't be given that chance as the Eagles elected to move on from the six-time Pro Bowler. Much of that decision can likely be attributed to the quick development of cornerbacks, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, who made Slay a luxury the team couldn't afford.
