Neighbor ‘had no other choice’ when he shot bear attacking man, Pennsylvania cops say
“The neighbor had no other choice but to shoot and kill the bear,” Schatz told TNonline. Nierer wasn’t seriously injured in the attack, and told WBRE he’s actually sorry for the bear, which witnesses say had been trying to get into a market in town before leaving and encountering Nierer.

A man was attacked by a hungry bear on his way home from the grocery store on Sunday, only to be saved by his quick-thinking neighbor.
