Nottingham Forest have confirmed that striker Chris Wood has signed a new contract through until the summer of 2027. Wood, 33, was due to be out of contract at the end of this season, which is on track to be his most prolific at Premier League level.

Chris Wood has signed a new contract with Nottingham Forest, extending his stay at the City Ground until 2027. New Zealand international Wood is the second Forest player to commit their future to the club this week, following Brazil defender Murillo, who agreed a deal earlier this week until 2029.

Wood, who has scored 14 goals in 23 games this season, has signed a two-year contract to keep him at the club until 2027. On extending his stay, the 33-year-old said: "I'm very excited and very happy to have it completed and done, and I'm looking forward to the next couple of years, at least.
