The trial marks the first time many details have been publicly released about the killings of 14-year-old Libby German and 13-year-old Abby Williams, which have haunted their small town and online communities of true crime enthusiasts.

The graphic pictures shocked the court room and the jury. Some photos showed a close up of Libby's slashed throat and bloody face. The jury was clearly uncomfortable with seeing the images and there were audible gasps in the courtroom. The families of Libby and Abby were also in the gallery crying.
