A long-shuttered administration building at the struggling Knoxville College, a historically Black institution, was destroyed in a fire Monday night, officials said.There were no injuries in the blaze that erupted at around 8:30 p.

In-person classes haven’t been held at the historically Black college in Tennessee since 2015. A fire official said that no injuries had been reported in the blaze.

The Knoxville Fire Department responded to a fire on the Knoxville College campus When crews arrived on the scene, KFD said there was heavy fire showing. Officials said they are still working to put the fire out.

College is an unaccredited private historically black college founded in Knoxville, TN in 1875. The campus is on fire on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024
