Search crews have recovered the body of the 6-year-old boy who fell into the Housatonic River in Stratford on Wednesday, according to police. The boy fell into the river while walking on the Birdseye Boat Ramp around 1:30 p.

The body of a 6-year-old Stratford boy was found by civilian boaters Friday afternoon, Stratford police say. His body was found a half a mile away from where he fell into the water. Stratford and the Bridgeport police marine units rushed to the scene to remove his body from the water.
