A Powerball ticket sold in Texas won $50,000 but just missed the $462 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Monday, March 24, the Texas Lottery said. The lucky ticket was sold at a Timewise Food Store in Houston, lottery officials said in a statement to McClatchy News.

No one won the Powerball jackpot over the weekend of $381 million dollars. But that doesn't mean there weren't some winners. In fact, one Texan got very lucky by playing an option that won them even a larger prize than they would have initially won.
